It's wrong for him to want to keep it. He should want to destroy it completely.
It's an emergency situation, so as a girlfriend, getting mad is breaking the contract.
He should put it in the storage that his parents are using (The facility is in another city, about 4-5 hour drive away).
There's really no reason to get mad about it. It's just stuff.
He should be able to keep his stuff where he lives, whether he lives with his current girlfriend or not.
He should be mad about his girlfriend getting mad.
